| Hi everyone, I'm a owner of a 5008 new in May 2015. Anyone else got a ECO system which stopped functioning? My stopped shortly after the first service. Love the car but wondering about if mine is the only one which has a problem withe the ECO system. | |

| I thought it could be a blessing, as some will prefer not to have the eco mode kick in during stop
anyway mine is a Oct-14 model, no such issue

| Oh got it. ECO system is the start stop function.
This start stop is dependent on the charge level of the battery. If battery is not fully charged due to much short distance driving, the start-stop function will not kick in.

| Will be getting the new 5008 this coming weekend 2 weekends ago my family and I were ready to sign the dotted line to purchase Mazda 5. On the day of signing, We decided to just pop by Peugeot and Ford to take a quick look. What was supposed to take just 30 min to take just a look ended up 3 hours at the showroom. We took the car out for test drive on the expressway and throughout the journey my kids and wife were wowed by the spacious and wow-looking interior design, esp the panoramic roof. I'm not a speed demon but I appreciated the amount of torque from its diesel engine. After the test-drive, I was torn between between the Mazda 5 and the Peugeot 5008. To me, Mazda 5 is more practical (esp the sliding door), reliable and cheaper car but rather out-dated dashboard and narrow 2nd and 3rd row seats. Peugeot 5008 on the other hand has the 'wow' factor the moment I entered the car and I (and my family) loved the journey with the car although being French, the car is not as reliable as Jap counterparts and maintenance cost is definitely more... Kinda of choosing between a nice goofy but mundane gf versus a hot-looking spicy girl but a little temperamental to be my wife The agent saw our struggle and offered to lower the pricing of the car to match that of Mazda 5, plus other freebies. Hence in 3 short hours, we came, we saw and we signed the dotted line for 5008. The heart ruled over the mind :a-good: I'm getting ready to enjoy ride with this French car but am also getting ready too to pay more for its maintenance Hopefully my experience with handling the other hot-looking spicy but temperamental wifey of more than 10 years can help me with this | |

I am driving 2015 3008. ECO was working fine and then I turned it off once. And for a long period, ECO didn't kick in when I stop. Now it is back. I realise ECO kicks in if the aircon is on AUTO mode.

The diesel savings and additional features on the PUGs were the deciding factor. Choosing the 3008 has been a great decision so far. Compared to my previous petrol ride ($110 for 450km), I save 75% on fuel now - doing about 920km for $60 @ shell. I just went to Cnergy @ toh tuck and full tank is $45, and after they throw in the $30 free for $150 top up, it works out to be 60cents p litre. Should be the cheapest in town now.

Over the next 100,000KM - savings about $20K in fuel costs for me vs my previous ride. a friend drives a mazda 5 ~ FC about 450km for 45litre. So Mazda 5 vs 3008/5008 can save about $6K over the first 100,000km.

| Was at the car showroom and the agent who served me said there were more people recently looking at the 5008 version. In fact she was closing a deal for another 5008 when we were there to collect our new car. Hopefully there will be more 5008 owners! | |

| I just bought my 5008 eHDi but a 2015 model and so far I find it good for me as I'm a speed demon so I need to be disciplined.
My previous car was Korean Hyundai i30 hatchback (petrol) and suddenly we move to 5008 MPV 7 seater on diesel. Me and my wife struggle for a while on the changes from Asian to Conti. the wipers and the signal indicator.. LOL
Eventually, I fall in love with this French hot babe if I compare to my previous sporty Korean petite size i30. I've adjusted easily within a week but however, my wife still struggle for now as she does not like the initial speed pick up and gear change momentum.
I'm ok with that as my brother is SME on diesel engine and he reckon on diesel. My only concern will be the maintenance or any parts replacement, it could be costly. I've yet to experience that. As for now, I got 3 years of warranty left.
My kids just love the car as it has that panoramic roof and I love the auto stuffs, it so cool.

| Hi ! I am looking to buy a new 5008 SUV and had placed a booking fee during at show. But I heard horrible stories like parts that required to change even during 1st year . Hence will like to consult from fellow Peugeot owners here ! | |

It's actually quite a enjoyable ride. I happen to login today and just thought I might share with you their facebook page. I think most of the older members have migrated and is more actively participating in discussion. Nonetheless, my advice is not to be too bothered by any other opinion, as long as you enjoy and feel comfortable with the ride, that's all the matters. To answer your question, I never have much issue with my Peugeot vehicle in the past Cheers James
