Need advise on 307XL 1.6A

Hi guys, im considering buying a used Peugeot, however everyone I have mentioned that im getting a Peugeot tells me the following;

1. Parts very hard to get/find
2. Peugeot is a car with problems.
3. Maintainance cost is on the high side

Lastly, im still persistent that since I viewed it looks preferably reasonable for a 7yr old car.

What do you guys think honestly..
