5008 in July

Welcome! Has been enjoying my 5008 for 3 weeks.

A few complaints here:
1) Use more parking space than my Honda Stream (5008 is wider, a lot...)
2) Door quite heavy and the steps of the opening might accidentally hit other car door
3) Auto lighting lights up too earlier... (slightly dim daylight will light it up, wonder is it due to the window tint???)
4) Not used to left hand signal light switch...
5) Left foot rest clearance is a bit too short for me... (I got long leg short arm, also a baby chair is behind my driver seat... )

Other than the above, everything is better than I expected! Thumbs up!

5008 is definitely a better mid size MPV currently available in the market, high OMV, low price, good FC, low road tax, smooth transmission and powerful engine... Pugs has change lots since 2008 with the introduction of Prince engine and it further reinforce it by introducing the Aisin 6-speeder in year 2010!

1) You r right, 5008 is pretty fat, but thinking of the space u are enjoying inside, forgive her
For parking, must be careful when u park in some MSCPs, dun park in bet 2 columns (cannot get out), dun park at the side with railing fence on top (some railing will hit the top of ur car when u reverse)
2) Did u install any door bumper? I am thinking of, but not sure will it spoil the paint if I want to remove it later.
4) I got used to it already, not problem
5) I also have a baby seat behind me, back facing and sometimes the back to back rubbing sound really irritates me. I am thinking of putting in at the centre seat instead of the side.

Cons...
No 3rd row AC vent - warm 3rd row
AC nds to bring down temp to abt 21 to be comfortably cold in the car
Getting in n out adults knock on the top frame of car
Storage @ the wrong place esp cup holder n small glove box
16" rims
No front sensor driving assist
No in Dash GPS
No auto adjust driver seats
No AV selector on bottom of 2nd console
No open/close button for side mirrors. Only when locking the car.

Nevertheless still loving this car for the drivability tho I missed a well thought through interior of my previous honda odc...

The open / close button for side mirrors is the same button for adjusting the angles.
You just have to pull it down, and the side mirrors will be closed.

You had picked the same white colour and same car seat colour like mine.
So we have the same taste ya?

Interesting, i just bought a 5008 today but the sales person said the dash does not support DVD Screen/player. Any help there/pics of yours to share?

Welcome to the pug family... U will definitely love the drivability of this car.

Yes we can't play dvd frm the headunit provided frm the dash n it has no screen. The dash will be same as those u see @ sgcarmart or peugeot.com.

But they do offer @ $1500 for a headunit with touch screen n plays dvd. Auto France is sellingvthis package. U may want to ask thm if they can put this package to your loan, if any.

Hi ventus, I've just booked a 5008 last sat. Edd oct. but only accessories given only gps w cam. Sales person not giving anything else..... Yrs given all foc by agent? Think I can push for him to give me at least ar mat n tinted film?

To negotiate after booking will be tough. Try to ask for the 3M solar film as most of us got that thrown in as well.

Yup to try after u sign is a bit tough but u can still try. Quote us and say we all got 3m mat n 3m solar film. To get the bar n dvd player is going to be tough. Push it a bit n talk to the boss if need to. And tell him how come his SE doesn't offer anything else while we all got it.

Perhaps it is already discounted without the freebies. If you want GPS, Solar film, etc...discount is less. My 2 cents worth of comments.

he mentioned that the co gave a $12K discount and you guys probably don't have this discount. (did you?)

not too worry about the bar and dash but would be great to have the mat and film. good suggestion from ventus though. may approach the boss to say why mat and film not thrown in if cannot get thru.
